What's the difference between Kisses, Hugs, and Everywhere adhesive?

All three are professional-grade lash adhesives — they just serve different artists in different environments.

• Everywhere is our most forgiving formula. Widest humidity range, best starting point for artists new to Light Heart adhesives.
• Kisses is our clear adhesive — same flexible formula as Everywhere, but pigment-free. Ideal for colored lash extensions.
• Hugs is our fastest at ~0.5-second cure time. Built for advanced artists with controlled environments (20–55% humidity, 64–76°F).

What humidity and temperature should I keep my lash room at?

• Kisses: 20–65% humidity, 62–77°F
• Hugs: 20–55% humidity, 64–76°F
• Everywhere: Widest range — best for variable environments

What are Everything Lashes and why does Maddi only use 0.03mm?

Everything Lashes are our signature lash extension — 0.03mm diameter, C, CC, D, J, and M curls, 7–17mm. Maddi uses 0.03 for every style from natural Angel Sets to Mega Volume. Lighter lashes mean safer attachment, better retention, and more dimensional sets. One diameter, endless styles.

What are Loose Base Promades and how are they different from regular promades?

Most promades have a heat-bonded base that prevents proper wrapping around the natural lash. Our Loose Base Promades have an unfused base — pick, dip, and wrap exactly like a handmade fan. Same retention. About half the time.

Do you offer discount codes?

We run sales twice a year: February and November. Occasionally a gift-with-purchase. Outside of that, our prices are set to be consistently fair year-round. No discount codes, no manipulative sale cycles.

Retention & Technique

Why are my lash extensions not lasting?

Retention issues almost always fall into one of four categories: (1) Prep inconsistency — skipping cleanser, primer, or rushing the sequence. (2) Adhesive-environment mismatch — wrong adhesive for your humidity and temperature. (3) Attachment quality — insufficient base-to-lash contact. (4) Client aftercare — oil-based products or skipping lash shampoo. Diagnose systematically before changing any product.

What is the correct lash prep order?

1. Cleanser — removes oils, makeup, visible debris
2. Primer — removes residue that looks clean but isn't
3. Attachment — apply extensions with full base contact
4. Bonder — seals adhesive, accelerates cure, locks in retention

What is an Angel Lash set?

Angel Lashes are Maddi's signature style — soft, dimensional, romantic, using closed fans and 0.03mm extensions. The technique uses a two-curl layering system (C curl base, CC curl top) and a wrapping method for superior retention.

What is the Quick Fans Method?

Our proprietary fan-making technique — the foundation of our Mega Volume course and educator training program. Reduces the micro-movements needed for a perfect handmade fan so you can work faster without sacrificing quality.

How long do lash extensions last?

With proper prep, the right adhesive, and good client aftercare, lash extensions typically last 4–6 weeks before needing a full new set. Most clients get fills every 2–3 weeks. Maddi's clients regularly get 3–4 week retention.

Training & Education

I'm a complete beginner — where do I start?

Start with the Ultimate Beginner Training ($199) — a 4.5-hour certification course covering lash anatomy, retention, mapping, client communication, and pricing. Valid in all 50 states and internationally. Built for artists with zero prior experience.

What's the difference between your digital courses and in-person training?

Digital courses are self-paced and available worldwide. In-person training is hands-on with direct educator feedback. If you're starting from scratch, in-person is the stronger investment. If you've got the basics and want to add specific skills, digital courses are incredibly efficient.

Do you offer in-person lash training?

Yes — three options:

• 1:1 Private Training with Erica at Light Heart Studios in Scottsdale, AZ — personalized instruction with our Master Educator (9 years experience)
• Arizona Eyelash Academy — 30-hour board-approved licensing program. 4-day intensive, one student per month.
• Light Heart Tour — traveling workshops across the country with our educators

Is your training recognized / licensed?

The Ultimate Beginner Training certification is valid in all 50 U.S. states and internationally. The Arizona Eyelash Academy is approved by the Arizona State Board of Cosmetology. Always check your state's specific requirements if pursuing a cosmetology or esthetics license.

What is the Besties Membership?

How do I attract clients who are willing to pay higher prices?

Differentiation: be easy to find, deliver an impeccable experience, do distinctive work, and educate your clients on your value. Maddi's Dream Clientele course covers the full framework — Four Pillars, Instagram strategy, pricing, and how to build 15–20 dream clients within 60 days.

How do I raise my prices without losing clients?

Give advance notice, explain your value (not your costs), and make it a moment — not an apology. Clients who leave over a $10–15 raise weren't your dream clients anyway.
